Abstract
The conversational algorithms or so-called “chatbots” have been significantly presented in the field of information science since 1964. The first coherent conversational algorithm with competence in fully interactive communication with the human being was discovered within that period of time. It was designed by Joseph Weizenbaum and named ELIZA. Our paper is aimed to analyse existing ways of solving these problems and to asses their functionality first. Then the testing and summarizing of each individual implementation based on AIML follows for the purpose of selecting the optimal technological platform for implementation of the conversational agent. Finally, coming out of the findings, we evaluate the potential of this field of AI with regard to the aplication in practice during the particular next years.
